What is A Capella?
A cappella is music created entirely with the human voice — no instruments, just singers! Every sound you hear, from percussion to bass lines to beautiful harmonies, comes from the group members themselves. This style allows Voices of Steel to explore a wide range of music, from pop hits to soulful ballads, and to bring a fresh, exciting sound to every stage.
Our Mission
The mission of the Wakefield High School Music Department — and Voices of Steel — is to provide a high-quality, well-rounded, performance-based music education for all students. Through a cappella, members develop the skills and confidence to collaborate, perform, and share the joy of music with others. Voices of Steel provides students with the opportunity to grow as musicians and is dedicated to sharing the joy of singing and building connections through the power of music.
